So for those unable to pick up this issue, there’s what we have now learnt about the upcoming Batman v Superman:

About Batman

  •  Zack Snyder asked Christopher Nolan for permission to use Batman. Snyder saying “You’ll tell if you don’t want me to do it,” with the Dark Knight mastermind replying “Well. We don’t own these characters. When you’re done making Batman movies, someone else will (make them)."
  • Ben Affleck’s Batman is 20 years into this bat-career.
  • Bruce Wayne knew the people who were killed in Wayne Enterprise personally, people he could call family.
  • Snyder did look at Josh Brolin and Richard Armitage but Affleck was always his number one choice.
  • Affleck sealed the deal after seeing artwork in Snyder’s Pasadena office saying “Superman locked in battle with Batman, and Superman grabbing Batman’s gun and breaking it.” Adding “I thought, ‘This is the best version of this movie you could make.”
  • Deborah Snyder reveals “Batman’s voice is digitally altered by the cowl.”
  • In the dream sequence, Batman has gone full Mad Max and we’ll see the Omega symbol, not only good for your health, this symbol is also best known for mega villain Darkseid.

  • Snyder thinks deep down Batman v Superman is a relationship movie insisting “It is just two people trying to understand each other’s points of view. Gentlemen, this is the excuse you can use to make it a date movie.

About Wonder Woman

  •  Gal Gadot originally thought she was auditioning for Selina Kyle.
  • Deborah Snyder describes Gadot “She just has this magical quality” and has all the qualities required for the part: the wit, determination and wisdom.
  • Gadot confirms the characters inborn talents include her metahuman heals quickly (so basically if she gets a papercut it won’t hurt and heals right away), jumps to heights where she is almost flying and can really pack a punish.
  • Wonder Woman in this film is over 5,000 years old.
  • Diana Prince is in retirement.
  • Gadot insisted “I don’t want people to think she is perfect” adding “She can be naughty.”
  • Gadot spent seven-and-a-half months training before going on set this included martial arts training, and lots of sword work.

About Lex Luthor

  •  Jesse Eisenberg’s Luthor has two faces; the public see him as a disarming, witty, Metropolis charmer. Privately he’s “full of rage” and what he lacks in superpowers he makes up in dark determination.
