It’s clear Dwayne Johnson hasn’t learnt from his Instagram post voicing his issues with his Fast 8 co-stars and now he’s turned his attention to his Jumanji co-star Kevin Hart.
After taking to social media earlier to clear up this new vision of the family adventure classic WON’T be a remake or reboot, but will be a sequel to the 20-year-old film.
“As a producer on this movie and someone who loves the original, you have my word we’ll honor the legend of “Alan Parrish” and properly introduce a new generation to the fun and crazy JUMANJI universe that so many of us loved and grew up on” said Johnson.
The big reason for the movie’s cult status is because of Robin Williams’ performance as Parrish and it’s great to hear Johnson say he’ll honour his memory, but it’s interesting it takes three big name stars to do match one legend’s status.
Kevin Hart started the friendly, tongue-in-cheek beef by posting a video on Instagram addressing The Rock’s dieting habits and saying “Message to my brother @therock….. We made History with Central Intelligence which means that we have to do it bigger and better with Jumanji…. WE DON’T STOP DAMN IT!! #HardestWorkersInTheRoom.”
So what does The Rock do? The best smack talker in WWE history gets into that mindset and replies saying “Trynna talk shit to my brother and JUMANJI co-star @kevinhart4real but can’t even keep a straight face.
“Shooting #CentralIntelligence was HARD considering how much laughing we did on set. Now we add our twin brother Jack Black into the mix and it pretty much guarantees shooting JUMANJI is gonna be IMPOSSIBLE. See you mofo’s in the jungle next month. Bring your sneeeyoaks Kev. Pancakes for me and Jack only.”
The pancake eating and shooting begins in a few weeks and Jumanji is scheduled to be release open 28th July 2017.
