If you didn’t know Disney’s next live-action adaptation will be Beauty and the Beast starring Emma Watson as Belle and Dan Stevens as the Beast/Prince. This week a few images from the film have been appearing online and now we know why.
To celebrate the 25th anniversary Blu-ray release of this iconic
1991 Disney animation, we will be getting a sneak peak of the film. Taking to
Facebook, co-producer Jack Morrissey teased the footage will include this shot
of Stevens as the Beast/Prince. Image via La Bella y la Bestia de Disney.
“One year to the day after the completion of principal photography on Bill Condon’s Beauty and the Beast, here is your very first look at Dan Stevens as the Prince/Beast.
“This is a frame from the snack peak coming next month on
the 25th Anniversary Edition Blu-ray/DVD/Digital HD of Disney’s 1991 animated
classic” added Morrissey.

The other behind the scenes
images include what looks like Gaston (played by Luke Evans) and Le Fou (Josh
Gad) singing a duet. What could it possibly be?

Finally, we also get a first look
at Cogsworth the clock (voiced by Sir Ian McKellen) and Lumiere the candle
stick (voiced by Ewan McGregor). If I'm honest these freak the living
hell out of me.

The Blu-ray will be hitting shelves
in the US on 20th September, but there’s no news if it’ll hit UK stores at the
same time.
In the meantime here’s the teaser
trailer and, this is just me speculating, I think we’ll get our first full trailer
this December when Rouge One: A Star Wars Story is released in cinemas.
