Gal Gadot Steals Weapon In New Wonder Woman Image

Entertainment Weekly have been on a roll recently revealing a new image from Justice League and now they’ve released a brand new image from Wonder Woman.

In this scene, Wonder Woman (Gal Gadot) has disobeyed her mother Queen Hippolyta (Connie Nielson), breaks into the heavily guarded armoury and steals the Amazon mythical sword, known as the “god killer,” before heading to Europe to help save humanity, according to EW.

“This is her moment,” said director Patty Jenkins. “She’s heard all the terrible things about man’s land. But she’s also heard that mankind is in need and under duress. This is her great moment to make a decision to be the one to try and save them.”

The description of the weapon being called the “god killer” is, even more, proof to the rumour Ares is the villain of the film and I love Jenkins’ quote as this is what Wonder Woman would do, hearing mankind might be a terrible place, but they’re in need of help and she wants to save them.

Meanwhile, Batman News was able to get its hands on a copy of Warner Bros’ 2017 press kit and it gave some new(ish) info about Wonder Woman.

We really ready knew Geoff Johns and comic book writer Allan Heinberg wrote the screenplay based on the well-known Wonder Woman writer and Zack Snyder’s story. However, one new name was added to the screenplay credit – Jenkins. This might not be big news, but I think it’s great Jenkins has been a part of this film from day one.

This is just me speculating, but if Wonder Woman is a huge success with critics, audiences and makes the studio a lot of money, I think Jenkins will be helming the sequel to Zack Snyder’s Justice League.

Wonder Woman makes her way into UK cinemas on 2nd June 2017.
