Phil Lord And Chris Miller Met DC Films About Possibly Directing The Flash

After it was announced that Han Solo directors Phil Lord and Chris Miller left the project, it looks like they won’t be out of work for long thanks to a Scarlet Speedster.

According to The Wrap, 21, 22 Jump Street and The LEGO Movie directors met with DC Films about potentially helming The Flash.

The meeting happened during the production of the Star Wars Han Solo spinoff was on hiatus and it turns out this hasn’t been their first meeting either.

“The duo met about the possibility of directing ‘The Flash’ after Rick Famuyiwa left the project over creative differences last year. It was unclear whether they were already considering an exit from ‘Han Solo’ project” The Wrap sources revealed.

However, DC Films and Warner Bros are still meeting with potential directors with Back to the Future helmer Robert Zemeckis still being seen as the frontrunner.

On the other hand, Lord and Miller are in an interesting position as they originally wrote a treatment for the superhero film back in 2015 and even though it was never confirmed, it looked likely they were going to helm the project too before Lucasfilm offered them the Han Solo film.

This story is basically like someone bumping into an ex-partner and after seeing them going through a rough time after your split, but now they have their life together and you begin to thank about that person and miss them. While you’re current relationship has just collapsed and finished, you want to give things with your previous ex another go.

It’s the perfect love story like Wills and Kate.

Furthermore, I believe this story has plenty of fire as Lord and Miller relocated their families to London during production of Han Solo and DC Co-Chief Geoff Johns is also in London to oversee the additional scenes to Justice League.

I hope this happens because I think the dynamic duo’s filmmaking and comedic sensibilities suits The Flash perfectly and with an actor like Ezra Miller they could work together fantastically.
