It looks like Paramount are fully committed to getting into the franchise game and using the Hasbro properties to turn it into a movie universe after the studio released a slate of films that’ll be coming out.
So get ready for GI Joe, Micronauts and Dungeons & Dragons because what could possibly go wrong from the studio that has given audiences two poor GI Joe films and repeated shitstorms known as Transformers.
Paramount announced on Monday (18th December) four dates for upcoming event films (via Deadline).

The first film to be released is a third G.I. Joe film coming to cinemas on March 27, 2020, a whole seven years after the release of G.I. Joe: Retaliation.
The other film coming out in 2020 is an adaption of the ‘70s spaceman toy line Micronauts centring around robotic/human future men and it aimed to come out on October 16.
As for Dungeons and Dragons, it will open on July 23, 2021, and it’d be the first time in 21 years that the popular 1970/1980s role-playing would have made it to screen after the awfulness that is the 2000s New Line Cinema film.
Paramount has also placed a save-the-date for October 1, 2021 for an untitled Hasbro film and no doubt the top rumour will a rebooted Transformers film.
It safe to say I’m not looking forward to any of these films and the fan base for these films will be in their 40s plus. It’s interesting why Paramount isn’t just rebooting G.I. Joe because I doubt any of the top named actors will return.
