Sorry, America and rest of the world because, like Marvel, the UK is such a wonderful country and important to Hollywood blockbuster that Aquaman is opening earlier in Blighty.
Digital Spy revealed the next instalment in the DCU will be released on December 14 instead of December 21, but the reasons for the change is still unknown and a source at Warner Bros has told me the change of date is ONLY for the UK.
This is an odd move by WB as unlike Marvel or Star Wars, the studio has done worldwide day-and-date releases for their DC Films since Batman v Superman.

The only thing I could think of is 21st December would mean they wouldn’t get much money at the box office and audiences/families will be thinking about Christmas. The change of date will still get bums in seats before basically no one goes back to the cinema until 2019.
As for the trailer, there were rumours we were going to get a teaser last month at WonderCon and attached to Ready Player One, but Aquaman director James Wan tweeted an obvious reason why we haven’t seen anything because this is a VFX heavy film with over, I’d guess, 60% underwater.
Hey friends, I usually do my best to avoid internet noises (especially fabricated distractions) but a teaser-trailer going out this weekend was never in the books — despite what some claim. It’s not because of anyone or any nefarious reason holding it back — IT’S ME. (1/3)— James Wan (@creepypuppet) 25 March 2018
I am simply not ready yet to share. This movie is filled to the gills with VFX, and the process is as slow and laborious as a sea-slug! Yes, even shots for the trailers take forever to do, and I refuse to put out anything that might be construed as subpar. (2/3)— James Wan (@creepypuppet) 25 March 2018
I know it seems like nothing much is brewing above the surface, but I can assure you, we’re working nonstop under the waves 🌊 😉 (3/3)— James Wan (@creepypuppet) 25 March 2018
(Ps: And yes, I plan to use oceanic puns/references every chance I get 😂)
I’m predicting the first trailer we’ll get will be at this summer’s San Diego Comic-Con.
