It’s the greatest show on earth, the show of shows, the grandest stage of them all, the granddaddy, the showcase of the immortals basically a long arse wrestling show, Wrestlemania 34 is here and it has the potential to be one of the best Wrestlemania’s in recent memory is happening tonight on the WWE Network.
Don’t get me wrong, NXT TakeOver: New Orleans will steal the weekend, but it doesn’t stop WWE’s flagship show having the potential to deliver an entertaining, exciting show.
Here are my full Wrestlemania 34 predictions:
Kick-Off/Pre-Show
Andre The Giant Battle Royal
It’s hard to predict this match because winning this means literally nothing and it’s a shame but there you go.
The only good thing it gives the lower card something to do and gives them the chance to have a Wrestlemania moment. Plus, which NXT talent will get involved like Killian Dane last year.
This year the NXT talent we could see are Kassius Ohno, Drew McIntyre, Sanity members Alexander Wolfe and Eric Young to cause some chaos to the match and depending on the previous night’s ladder match maybe Lars Sullivan.
Then there are the likes of Elias, Baron Corbin, Dolph Ziggler, Matt Hardy and a return Big Cass could all win it.
Corbin and Mojo Rowley are aiming to become the first ever two-time and if they keep the Big Cass return a surprise for later then I could see either Elias or Corbin winning and to be honest I don’t care but will go with Elias.
Prediction – Elias will win the Andre The Giant Battle Royal
Mustafa Ali vs Cedric Alexander – Cruiserweight Title Match
Honestly, I have no idea who’ll win this match as I don’t watch 205 Live or the clips WWE put on their Youtube, but the word is this match has had a decent build.
This match could never people like myself to check out 205 Live in the future.
I’m going with Ali as it seems he’s had people invested in him and he might do go things in the future.
Prediction – Mustafa Ali will become the new Cruiserweight champion
Women’s Battle Royal
With all eyes focusing on Sasha Banks and Bayley but there’s a chance to surprise fans.
Much like the Men’s battle royal and Women’s Royal Rumble match we’ll see some NXT talent getting involved in the form of Kairi Sane, Bianca Belair, and the Iconic Duo Billie Kay and Peyton Royce as a way to intro the duo before they debut on the main roster this coming Tuesday on Smackdown Live.
We’ll likely some former wrestlers as well like the Royal Rumble.
I don’t think Banks or Bayley will win but continue their build to a one-to-one match. While Riott Squad’s Ruby Riott and Absolution’s Sonya Deville will have a good showing being in the final six or something.
Just because she hasn’t been given anything meaningful for a while, I’m going with Becky Lynch to win the Women’s Battle Royal.
Prediction – Becky Lynch will win the Women’s Battle Royal
Main Card
United States Championship – Randy Orton (c) vs Bobby Roode vs Jinder Mahal vs Rusev
A mid-card title always now kick off the main show with the Intercontinental title but this year the US title will start and the entrances of Roode and Ru-Ru (with the help of Aiden English) will get the fans hyped.
Despite being ended to the match late, Rusev is the most over man in WWE at the moment and made this bland match something interesting and Vince McMahon will know this and it’ll make smart business sense to give him the belt and give him a lengthy run.
I’m picking it’s going to be a wonderful Rusev Day for the Bulgarian Brute who will go home with the US title.
Prediction – Rusev will become the new United States Champion
Raw Tag Team Championship – The Bar (c) vs Braun Strowman & mystery partner
The interesting thing about this match is who is going to be Strowman’s tag partner, and with Elias winning earlier on, I’m picking that Big Cass will be teaming up with the monster.
However, despite I want him to win more than anything it’ll make the Raw tag division a complete joke if The Bar loses like this and it’ll make the Authors of Pain and Sanity’s call-up even harder to get the division on track.
If it is Strowman and Big Cass and they do win hopefully it’ll only be a short run to lead to a feud between the two as Vince McMahon will want to give Cass a massive push. However, just for the sake of saving the division, I’m going for The Bar.
Prediction – The Bar will retain
Daniel Bryan & Shane McMahon vs Kevin Owens & Sami Zayn
After two title matches, this match could be used as a nice title break and the crowd will still be fresh enough to go batshit mental for that Daniel Bryan pop.
However, despite the wonderful story and the return of Bryan the competitor I’m sure plenty of fans want him to win but that’ll mean losing Owens and Zayn to Raw and that won’t be good.
Because of that McMahon will eat the pin and turn heel because no one is going to boo Bryan ever.
Prediction – Kevin Owens & Sami Zayn will win and turn to Smackdown
Raw Women’s Championship – Alexia Bliss (c) vs Nia Jax
Sadly for these women, they’ll have to follow Daniel Bryan and the build for this has been really awkward with this bullying storyline.
However, everyone will be wanting Jax to completely smash Bliss and that’ll be very satisfying and even though she’ll win, Jax won’t leave New Orleans as champion.
This is because Carmella will run in takeout Jax multiple times with her Money in the Bank briefcase, cashes in and wins the belt.
The heat she’d get would be massive and there’ll be a fresh feud for Nia.
Prediction – Nia Jax wins but Carmella cashes in her MITB and becomes the new Raw Women’s Champion
Smackdown Tag Team Championship – The Usos (c) vs The New Day vs The Bludgeon Brothers
After nine years with the company, The Usos FINALLY gets on the main card of Wrestlemania!
However, after what happened at Fastline, this has the potential to be the best tag match this weekend between WWE and NXT as Usos and New Day will never put on a bad match and then add the monsters of the Bludgeon Brothers, this could possibly steal the show.
I don’t think New Day will win, they’re there to eat the pin to save the other team face and even though I want to say Bludgeon Brothers, these three teams will be feuding for a while post Mania.
Because they’re on the main card, this is the perfect chance to give Usos a Wrestlemania moment and they will retain the belts.
Predictions – The Usos will retain
Kurt Angle & Ronda Rousey vs Triple H & Stephanie McMahon
Ronda Rousey is winning this match and the fact WWE has been doing the Mix tag match tournament this has been WWE tell the audience to be ok with women taking out men like Charlotte sparing Miz this past Tuesday.
So I’m prediction will get the win with a submission on Triple H.
Prediction – Kurt Angle & Ronda Rousey win
Intercontinental Championship – The Miz (c) vs Seth Rollins vs Finn Balor
I believe we’ll see a new IC champ as Miz can take time to be with his newborn daughter and similar to the Smackdown tag match, this match could steal the show as Rollins and Balor could never have a bad match just watch their Universal title match at Summerslam a couple of years ago.
I also feel whoever out of Rollins and Balor loses then we’ll see move to Smackdown and after impressing in the Raw before Elimination Chamber and in the Chamber itself, Rollins could do great things with the belt.
Prediction – Rollins will become the new Intercontinental Champion
John Cena vs The Undertaker
Who the hell knows if this match will actually happen!
If it does we’ll likely see the American Badass Taker and he will win.
Prediction – If this happens Undertaker wins
Smackdown Women’s Championship – Charlotte (c) vs Asuka
This has all the hallmarks of being the best women’s match in WWE history as in this dream match you’ve got the streak of Asuka against the dominant champion and if there’s one woman to break it it’s Charlotte.
However, don’t see them breaking Asuka’s steak anytime soon, but this match will be a battle.
Prediction – Asuka will become the new Smackdown Women’s Champion
WWE Championship – AJ Styles vs Shinsuke Nakamura
After being the most dominant male wrestler on Smackdown for the past two(ish) years and Styles doing great things with the WWE belt it’s time for something new.
After the reaction of the crowd when both superstars were in the MITB last year the seeds for this dream match were planted to the point I think this should headline (but that was never going to happen).
The build hasn’t been great, but no match on this Wrestlemania card should be better than this, it has five-star classic written on it.
We could see a long feuding battle between the two but I don’t see as I suspect AJ will go to Raw in the Superstar Shake-up and it’s time to make Nakamura the leader of this new era.
Prediction – Shinsuke Nakamura will become the new WWE Champion
Universal Championship – Brock Lesnar (c) vs Roman Reigns
I’m sure I’ll get shit for this but this match could be a sleeper hit.
It just depends if we get the Lesnar that fought Dean Ambrose a couple of Mania’s ago or the Lesnar that brought it to AJ this past Survivor Series, we’ll all be hoping for the latter.
However, Brock’s looking ever closer to going back to returning to UFC and the top Raw belt needs to be on the show every week now and Regins to going to be the good big dog.
Prediction – Regins will become the new Universal Champion
