There you have it, one of the worst kept secrets in the film news at the moment was confirmed last night as Daniel Craig WILL be returning as James Bond.
Last night, Craig appeared on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert to promote his new film, Lucky Logan, but the interview began with Bond and 49-year-old set the record straight confirming he’ll be reprising the role for Bond 25.
“I have been quite cagey about it,” Craig admits. “I have been doing interviews all day and people have been asking me and I think I’ve been rather coy. But I kind of felt like if I was going to speak the truth I should speak the truth to you.”
So Colbert asked Craig point-blank if he’ll be returning, to which the actor replied simply with “Yes.”
He went on to explain “We’ve been discussing it. We’ve just been trying to figure things out. I always wanted to, I needed a break.”
Craig goes on, as we fully expect, to suggest Bond 25 will be his swansong as 007 adding, “I just want to go out on a high note, and I can’t wait.”

This is the perfect outcome for everyone, Craig will get PAID to end his five film contract, Eon and MGM and maybe have Sony distribute to end an era before beginning with a clean slate again.
Craig’s first 007 outing was back in 2006 with Casino Royale before starring in Quantum of Solace, Skyfall and most recently Spectre in 2015.
Last month it was confirmed Bond’s next outing will be released in US cinemas on November 8, 2019. Meanwhile, the UK will get the “traditional earlier release” with my guess being early October 2019.
