A lucky fan got the seal of approval by Deadpool himself, Ryan Reynolds. After the actor posted on his Instagram and Twitter a brilliant fan-made poster for Deadpool 2.
The fake promo kept in tone with the fantastic marketing of the original film, which came out in February, and shows a defaced men’s toilet sign turned into X-Men’s Wolverine and Professor X.
Below the fake poster it says the film is coming out in 2018, so is Reynolds giving fans a hint to the release date? Or is just a fan of some artwork and wanted to show his millions of followers.
2018 does seem right for the sequel to get released as producer Simon Kinberg said back in June that Fox hopes to start shooting at the beginning of next year.
Fox couldn’t green-lit this film soon after Deadpool broke box office records making over $754 million.
So if Fox can give director Tim Miller a similar budget and just leave them alone then I have no doubt Deadpool 2 will make the same amount or more.
The post-credits also gave us an idea of what the story could be as Cable (the time-travelling son of X-Men’s Cyclops) is set to be introduced.
Deadpool is now out on DVD and Blu-Ray.
