Suicide Squad Comic Con Final Trailer and Panel

The final DC Films presentation was focusing on Suicide Squad as we’re only 12 days away from this film getting released and this is Warner Bros full big push before screenings happen next week to get the hype machine in gear.

Ayer came walking back on stage and having no issues in confidence saying “I told you last year, DC runs this shit, DC runs Hall H!” and he brings out the rest of the cast.

To the theme of Twenty One Pilots’ “Heathens” Karen Fukuhara (Katana), Adam Beach (Slipknot), Jay Hernandez (El Diablo), Jai Courtney (Captain Boomerang), Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje, or Triple A for short, (Killer Croc), Viola Davis (Amanda Waller), Joel Kinnaman (Rick Flagg), Cara Delevingne (Enchantress), Jared Leto (The Joker), Scott Eastwood (unknown), Margot Robbie (Harley Quinn) and finally Will Smith (Deadshot).

Smith couldn’t praise his director more saying “I would say David’s superpower is helping actors fall into their characters and their relationships. We’ve all shared really deep stories about ourselves and our pains and our triumphs in the process and what David does on set, when you thought he was being a nice guy, is he throws your greatest childhood trauma at you and says ‘Dude, the Joker did it.”

Then Robbie talked about how Ayer wanted the cast to do as much as their own stunts as possible. Conon O’Brien (who was the host) went on to praise Davis’ performance to which she simply said “I played myself.”

The trailer itself was just to showcase the soundtrack and had a few new clips, but being so close nothing spoilery.

That was your lot from the DC Films panels and what I liked about this Squad panel was how close they seem to be especially before going on stage and what I also think is important is it looks like Warner Bros have listened to the fans and from Suicide Squad onwards they’ll be doing things a lot differently to please fans and causal audiences.
