From LEGO Batman to Kong: Skull Island to Fantastic Beasts, Check Out The Rest Of Warner Bros Comic-Con Panel

IMAGE VIA LEGENDARY

After having the first hour taken up with everything DC Films, the other Warner Bros blockbuster films had their chance to shine.

Starting with The LEGO Batman Movie and they showed audience a Lego version of the panel with Lego Batman, Joker, Barbara Gordon, Robin and even a Lego Conan. The real Conan brought director Chris McKay and Lego Batman himself Will Arnett onto the stage.

They released a new trailer, and even though it’s a slow start the moment Robin comes on screen the jokes start flying and they’re brilliant. All I want know now is what’s the story? Because they’ve only showed us jokes and clips inside the Batcave and Wayne Manor.

King Kong took over next with Discover how Kong became King on the screen. The character names of Samuel L. Jackson, Tom Hiddleston, Brie Larson, John Goodman, Tian Jing and John C. Reilly were revealed to the audience before the Kong: Skull Island logo.

Larson, Hiddleston, Goodman, Corey Hawkins and Jason Mitchell come on stage with their director Jordan Vogt-Roberts, who started to talk about bringing a new story within the King Kong mythology.

“The seventies is such an interesting time and it’s the last time in the world where myth could exist in the world and you could have these unknown things,” he said.

“I play a character called Captain James Conrad and formerly British SAS soldier with a set of skills in survival,” says Hiddleston.

Then after a few more Q and A’s with cast they unveiled the trailer and my god I wasn’t expecting this. First of all, the film being set in the 70s was a surprise and then this footage felt like a war film, many are describing it similar to Apocalypse Now, with a huge ape and its shoot beautifully.

Then King Arthur showed up, after premiering the trailer Charlie Hunnam talked about this new different version of the story saying “If you’re going to retell a story, you need to make it fresh and original and unique,

“We’ve seen the version of King Arthur before where he’s the noble man who goes on the noble quest to become the noble King.” The genesis of this character in this incarnation, he’s a survivor.

“To put that into modern context, we decided to make him like a street kid,” Hunnam added. “We meet him and he’s this sort of street guy who is actually doing pretty well for himself.”

I have to say this was one of my favourite trailers yesterday, because I truly needed know what to expect and I liked the fact it’s still a Guy Riche film, but now adding in huge set pieces. I just hoping this style can sustain a film this epic and for a long running time.

Finally, we return to the wizarding world of JK Rowling with Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them. Where they handed out wards to everyone in Hall H and director David Yates went on to talk about continuing expand the world.

“This is an extension of Joe’s universe in a very exciting way," said Yates.“We’ve got a whole new set of characters, a whole new set of rules,”,in an addition to a new setting,“We’ve got a whole array of Beasts that Eddie looks after in his magical case," he added.

A new trailer was released and it’s returning to a place we’ve never left and entering something new all at the same time and I’m excited to see these creatures and maybe some references to Harry Potter and Hogwarts.

That was it. There you have it, all the Warner Bros Hall H panels covered. Find out what happened during the Wonder Woman, Justice League and Suicide Squad panels and also check out all the cool info during Marvel Studios panel.
