When Lucasfilm announced they were going to do a Han Solo film focusing on a young solo many Star Wars fans were split between wanting to see Han meet Chewbacca and find out how he got the Millennium Falcon and if he was, in fact, an imperial troop like in the Star Wars legend books.
On the other side, fans think this could shrink the world and if we really needed to see Han Solo’s backstory plus Harrison Ford IS Han Solo.
Now reports are suggesting that not only could we see one Solo film, starring Aiden Ehrenreich in the iconic role, but THREE films could be on the way.
Sources have told New York Daily News that the 26-year-old has signed a three-picture deal with Disney and said “They feel that his character has the right potential to become a central figure in several movies. They’re keeping things under wraps at the moment, but the deal is that he has signed for at least three movies.”
Ehrenreich fought off competition from some of the biggest young actors in Hollywood for the role beating Taron Egerton, Scott Eastwood and Jack Reynor.
The Lego Movie directors Phil Lord and Chris Miller are helming the project with The Empire Strikes Back and Force Awakens writer Lawrence Kasdan and his son Jon writing the screenplay.

I’m split about this, I’m looking to seeing Ehrenreich in the role and Lord and Miller are the perfect people to direct this film and also having Kasdan wanting to write this film for so long can only mean great things. However, do we really need three films based off Han Solo’s adventure before A New Hope?
Ehrenreich will make his first full appearance as Han Solo (because they're rumours he could have a quick cameo in Rogue One) in the Star Wars anthology film set to hit cinemas on May 25th, 2018.
