Tom Holland has just wrapped filming for Marvel Studios and Sony Pictures’ Spider-Man: Homecoming, but he’s already talking about sequels.
Holland was at New York Film Festival promoting his upcoming film The Lost City of Z where he was also talked about his superhero role. Even thought most/all of us haven’t seen anything official from Homecoming, it’s clear Marvel and Sony are very pleased with what’s already been done and discussing plans for a sequel to his solo film and who he could be fighting.
“My next project, I can’t tell you about, but we’ve just finished ‘Spider-Man’ and we’re talking about the second one and who the villain is going to be and where we’re going.”
This may be the only time we’ll see our favourite neighbourhood web-slinger. While talking to Variety, he says his role in Avengers: Infinity War is still unclear.
“It’s all up in the air. I believe some sort of deal is in the mix, but I’m unclear as to what that deal is.”
Fans have nothing to worry about, he’ll be in the Marvel super event regardless because the British actor will take over from Robert Downey Jr’s Iron Man in Avengers 4.
