DC Films News - Aquaman Has Release Date & Is Armie Hammer Joining The DCEU?
Honestly, there hasn’t been a DC Film News round-up mainly because it’s gone a bit quite. It's understandable all the build-up recently has been for Doctor Strange, Fantastic Beasts and Rogue One plus Wonder Woman isn’t released until June, but recently there’s been some news involving Aquaman and Armie Hammer in the DCU?

Aquaman has an official release date and it’ll be hitting cinemas on October 5, 2018.
Deadline revealed the news last week and it comes as a surprise to some as the James Wan directed superhero film was originally scheduled for a 27th July 2018 release.

The change of date did start speculation on Twitter if it might the new open July date will be taken by Ben Affleck’s The Batman. There are some good reasons behind the idea, it’s height of the summer movie season and a Batman film will make crap tonnes of dollar and easily hit a billion dollars.
However, with The Flash without a director at the moment and production and filming being delayed it’ll make more sense (to me anyway) for The Flash to take the July date instead as it’ll give Warner Bros time to find a director and lay down a story.
The Aquaman standalone will star Jason Momoa as the King of Atlantis aka Arthur Curry alongside Amber Heard as Mera – Queen of Atlantis and William Dafoe as Nuidis Vulko.

Is Armie Hammer Joining the DCU?

This has been a question DC fans have been speculating all weekend.
To give some context, fans saw both DC Films co-chief Geoff Johns and Joe Manganiello, who’ll be starring as Deathstroke in The Batman, started following The Man from U.N.C.L.E star Armie Hammer and he followed Johns back.

I understand people following each other on Twitter isn’t news, but this does have some precedence.
We found out about Manganiello’s casting after he started to follow Ben Affleck, Johns and Zack Snyder on Twitter and the following day we found out the Magic Mike star was cast as Slade Wilson aka Deathstroke.
I think he would be ideal as Hal Jordan/Green Lantern, but I don’t know if he’ll even be in the DCEU. Hammer and Manganiello could be working together on a Magic Mike 3.

Joker and Harley Quinn Suicide Squad Concept Art
Tina Charad, a movie graphic designer and illustrator, released some concept art she worked on for Suicide Squad on her website.
It would be safe to say we would have gotten a very different Joker and Harley Quinn and honestly, I’m glad they didn’t go with the sort of tattoos presented and the clothing Harley could have worn because they were shit.

Don’t get me wrong, some of the clothing and accessories for The Joker were cool, but I think David Ayer and co went the way they did because they got more fans on side and even though Jared Leto’s Joker did get some hate (I liked his look), but the version presented here would’ve gotten everyone on the wrong side.
