Kingsman: The Secret Service was the surprising box office smash hit of 2014, it was ultra-violent, full of bad language and one risqué joke and made Colin Firth a badass. It was Deadpool before Deadpool become 2016’s mega hit.
For the sequel, Kingsman: The Golden Circle, Eggsy himself Taron Egerton revealed director Matthew Vaughn is turning it up to 11.
“(He) goes even further with it. It’s kind of absolutely crazy. Julianne Moore is the villain, and she’s genuinely terrifying. She’s really, really, really great. So it’s bigger, badder, more guns, you know? All that stuff. It’s fun.”
When you look about to the original film, it’s hard to see Vaughn and co going even crazier because the first film is batshit mental. Samuel L Jackson’s villain speaking with a wisp, Sofia Boutella as a henchman with razorblade legs and heads exploding into different, bright colours (sorry spoilers, but come on the film is two years old).
So how the hell is Vaughn going to top all of that epicness?
According to Egerton, it won’t be too long until we get a first look at the sequel. “I can’t imagine it would be very deep into next year, I think maybe there would be a teaser within the first couple of months of next year. We’re now an October release. It depends, I really don’t know. Matthew Vaughn works in mysterious ways, but you won’t be disappointed, it’s going to be awesome.”
My best guess after hearing Egerton saying this, I could see a teaser release the same week as Logan.
The returning Egerton as Eggsy and Mark Strong as Merlin are joining forces with Kingsman’s American counterparts, The Statesman. All we know the team is made up of Hallie Berry and Channing Tatum.
Other cast members include; Jeff Bridges, Pedro Pascal, Elton John, Vinnie Jones and this well-dressed Englishman.

Kingsman: The Golden Circle is set come to UK cinemas on 6th October 2017.
