Will Smith's Deadshot Spin-Off Film In The Works At Warner Bros

The trade also revealed Warner Bros are not only developing Sirens and Suicide Squad 2 (despite the reaction and whatever you think, this films was always going to happen after making more than $745 million worldwide) they’re also thinking about making a Deadshot spin-off.

Now, is this film needed or are people actually asking for this? Honestly, no.

However, when you cast an A-list actor like Will Smith you’re going to use him. I think the character works better in a team-up like Suicide Squad or as a cameo in The Batman (both will still happen), but not a solo spin-off.

I liked Smith in Suicide Squad and I think a lot of people liked his performance, even though he was basically playing Will Smith in a superhero film.

On the other hand, this spin-off could work if Warner Bros looks at Deadpool as an example, give Deadshot a low budget and add marketing it should be maximum $70 million dollars like Deadpool. The story should be about a man being hired to take out a major Gotham City mob boss like the Falcone crime family.

You can even call it Deadshot: Man For Hire or something a lot better.

It could be a cool action film and thought Ayer would’ve been better suited to this than Sirens or bring in John Wick: Chapter 2 director Chad Stahelski to helm the project and if the John Wick sequel is a success bring the screenwriter Derek Kolstad on board.

Basically just make this rumoured Deadshot spin-off the John Wick of superhero films.
