This film’s cast continues to get better and better, holy fuck.

Thursday (5th January) Marvel Studios shared the exciting news that The People vs OJ Simpson and This Is Us star Sterling K Brown has joined the cast of Black Panther.

Brown will be playing the role of N’Jobu, who has been described as a major figure in Black Panther’s past.

While social media went to congratulate and got excited about Brown’s casting, no one was more thrilled about this huge announcement than the man himself tweeting:

The 40-year-old actor recently won an Emmy Award for his performance as principle prosecutor Christopher Darden in The People vs OJ Simpson: American Crime Story. He has also been tugging on your heartstrings in the critically acclaimed This Is Us, airing on Channel 4 in the UK.

Black Panther has already got one of the best cast assembled for a film, let alone a superhero film. Led by Chadwick Boseman, Brown joins a cast that includes – Michael B Jordan, Oscar winners Lupita Nyong’o and Forest Whitaker, Angela Bassett and The Walking Dead’s Danai Gurira.

Black Panther was my favourite thing when I left Captain America: Civil War and this cast along with the talented Ryan Coolger directing this project, this could turn out to be the best superhero film ever made.

Black Panther opens in the UK on February 9, 2018, before hitting US screens the week later on February 16, 2018.
