The First Official Image And Synopsis Of Thor: Ragnarok Has Been Revealed

Today (6^th January) Marvel Studios have released the first official image and synopsis of their next blockbuster Thor: Ragnarok.

The behind the scenes image shows off Chris Hemsworth’s God of Thunder looking big and muscly and all round gorgeous on the set of Thor: Ragnarok with director Taika Waititi.

However, the image was just the starter before the delicious main course.

As the synopsis confirmed Avengers buddies Thor and Hulk will actually be fighting against each other. Bring on the Marvel boxing promotional posters!

This is how the synopsis reads:

“In Marvel Studios’ Thor: Ragnarok, Thor is imprisoned on the other side of the universe without his mighty hammer and finds himself in a race against time to get back to Asgard to stop Ragnarok – the destruction of his homeworld and the end of Asgardian civilization – at the hands of an all-powerful new threat, the ruthless Hela. But first he must survive a deadly gladiatorial contest that pits him against his former ally and fellow Avenger – the Incredible Hulk!”

HOW AWESOME DOES THIS SOUND!!

I’ve never been a fan or even interested in the Thor films, but I’m super excited to see what Waititi has in store for the Marvel fans and general audience.

As well as Hemsworth and Mark Ruffalo returning to their Avenger roles, the impressive cast includes – Cate Blanchett, Jeff Goldblum, Idris Elba, Tessa Thompson and Karl Urban, with Tom Hiddleston reprising his role as Loki and Anthony Hopkins.
