Check Out The First Teaser Trailer For Bright, Netflix's New Film Starring Will Smith

The first trailer for the Netflix exclusive film Bright has hit online.

David Ayer is directing the film from the far out, but sort of genius mind of Max Landis who came up with this project which stars Will Smith, Joel Edgerton and Noomi Rapace.

“Set in an alternate present-day where humans, orcs, elves and fairies have been coexisting since the beginning of time, this action-thriller follows two cops from very different backgrounds. Ward, a human (Smith), and Jakoby, an orc (Edgerton), embark on a routine night patrol that will alter the future of their world as they know it. Battling both their own personal differences as well as an onslaught of enemies, they must work together to protect a young female elf and a thought-to-be-forgotten relic, which in the wrong hands could destroy everything.”

Joining Smith, Edgerton and Rapace in this Netflix original film is Lucy Fry, Edger Ramirez, Ike Barinholtz, Enrique Marciano, Jay Hernandez, Andrea Navedo, Veronica Ngo, Alex Meraz, Margaret Cho, Brad William Henke, Dawn Olivieri and Kenneth Choi.

Obviously, I need to see a trailer telling me more about the story and characters, but what the short teaser did show, I liked. I think this synopsis sounds interesting and could bring a new way to doing fantasy films.

Also, if this is a success then not only could this be the start of a franchise for Netflix, but turn the streaming service into a player in the film industry.

Bright hits Netflix in December.
