In the biggest night in the film industry turned into biggest most surprising and awkward endings in history, but congrats have to be given to Moonlight and Barry Jenkins for winning the Academy Award for Best Picture.

You have to feel bad for everyone involved, starting with La La Land after beginning originally named Best Picture to only find out it was an error and Moonlight did, in fact, win the Oscar.

It was like watching a Wrestlemania moment and WhatCulture Wrestling’s Adam Blampied put it best.

It really was watching La La Land win the title and celebrates, but after the reply it shows they didn’t get the three count, Vince McMahon would walk out saying "it’s going to finish like this" and restarts the match for only Moonlight to get a quick roll-up and the three count to become champion.

Meanwhile, huge respect to La La Land producer Jordan Horowitz for stepping up and telling the audience and viewers worldwide that there had been a mistake and showing nothing but class.

“This is not and joke,” he told everyone and showed them the correct card “Moonlight is best picture.”

Jenkins said in his acceptance speech “Very clearly even in my dreams this can’t be true. But to hell with it because this is true. It’s true, it’s not fake.”

The director then went on to pay tribute to the team behind the musical romantic film for the way they handled the mistake saying “We have been on the road with these guys and it was so gracious and so generous of them.”

The last thing I’ll add before moving on is, I didn’t like the way Horowitz just snatched the card from Warren Beatty’s hands.

All in all, it wasn’t a bad night for La La Land picking up six awards including Emma Stone for Best Actress and Damien Chazelle became the youngest filmmaker to win Best Director at the age of 32.

Adding Best Picture, Moonlight went home with three awards with the super low budget film winning Best Adapted Screenplay and Best Supporting Actor for Mahershala Ali.

Elsewhere, Casey Affleck won Best Actor for his performance in Manchester By The Sea, while Viola Davis was named Best Supporting Actress for Fences.

The funniest moment for me was waking up and seeing film critics and bloggers going into meltdown on Twitter after the now Academy Award winning Suicide Squad picked up the Oscar for Best Hair and Make-Up.

You know what, it deserved it. I don’t care if you hate the film, but you have to give it to them in this category because the make-up of the characters like El Diablo, Killer Croc, Enchantress and you can add Margot Robbie’s Harley Quinn were brilliant.

Overall, I’m happy for everyone who won and the love was spread around, but I really wanted La La Land to win Best Picture.
