Last night was a surreal moment for me and it all started when Forbes' Mark Hughes innocently tweeted if he was WB he'd call Joss Whedon to direct The Flash as either a solo, Cyborg team-up or TITANS film.
I disagreed and said after seeing The LEGO Batman Movie (full review coming Saturday), I'd have Chris McKay in the director’s chair because LEGO Batman is fun, funny and perfect for the whole family which is perfect for Flash.
Hughes agreed and McKay would be in his list of several of these films, and then this happened.

Now if (for some reason) Warner Bros was reading this random blog, then having McKay and Seth Grahame-Smith co-directing could be perfect for the film and studio. Trust me after you see LEGO Batman then you'll want this too!
Surely Grahame-Smith deserves a second chance and his reply to McKay shows he's still hurting from be sacked and obviously we don't know the full details and I'm sure we won't for a long time, but if they work together why can't this be a great thing.
Especially if the box office for LEGO Batman is fantastic. I hope it is just so we could get a LEGO Justice League Movie.

I also agree with Hughes, McKay (with or without Grahame-Smith) would be someone ideal for a number of DCU film if not The Flash. They could direct a film similar with humour, fun, maybe some self-aware and perfect for the whole family – Shazam! Or go for the Lethal Weapon in space buddy-cop Green Lantern Corps.
We all know The Flash has been a merry-go-round of disaster. However, McKay is the perfect fit for The Flash and come on Geoff Johns and Jon Berg give Grahame-Smith a chance to pitch a new vision of the property he clearly still loves.
If this happens can I get a job as a Production Runner?
