In the world of film blogging and journalism finding out who is following who on Twitter has become a sign of big news coming soon regarding casting or a director joining a major franchise.
This time around Wonder Woman director Patty Jenkins and DC Films co-chief Geoff Johns are both following Terminator himself, Arnold Schwarzenegger.
This was spotted by Batman News, who has had a decent track record spotting Rick Famuyiwa followed a bunch of DC accounts before being confirmed as the (now former) director for The Flash and John Cleese followed Zack Snyder and Ben Affleck before being confirmed to be having a role in Justice League.
So Twitter isn’t just a place where people troll other people for what they like. It can be very useful to find possible casting news and rumours.
Fans are now speculating what role, if any, Schwarzenegger has in Wonder Woman and with filming finishing last autumn (fall for you American folk) it’s possible he’s voicing a CG actor. Maybe Ares? If the rumour of the god of war is, in fact, the primary villain in the film are true.

On the other hand, Jenkins and Johns are fans of Schwarzenegger’s shade throwing towards President Trump or are fans of Schwarzenegger on the US version of Celebrity Apprentice.
The actor is infamously known for playing DC villain Victor Fries aka Mr Freeze and his cheesy and awful one-liners in Batman and Robin. So maybe starring in Wonder Woman is a way of redemption.
Wonder Woman will make her historical cinematic solo debut on June 2, 2017.
