Since its release on Saturday, the first Justice League trailer has split opinion because it’s a DCU film and that is what they do best (personally with makes these films better).
However, I can honestly say I could not be more excited to see this film ever since I was child watching the Justice League animated series, all I’ve wanted is to see the League on the big screen and by god Zack Snyder it not looks like an epic superhero film, but also an epic fantasy film! It’s so awesome!

On the other hand, the issues some people have are understandable, Cyborg does look unfinished and too CGI, the trailer shown on YouTube was a tad dark (it didn’t bother me too much) and I hate The Beatles.
The thing I’ll say to those issues are, the film is still eight months away and the VFX/CGI isn’t nowhere near done, the “colour issue” is just Snyder’s style – he likes using blues and greys, but I’d highly recommend watching the trailer on his production company’s Vimeo account it’s beautiful.
Even though I despise The Beatles it was a cover led by Steve Tyler so it makes it a little bit better.
After the trailer dropped, Snyder talked to USA Today and gave some more insight into upcoming DC film.
“The thing that’s awesome about these icons is that a lot of them we haven’t seen in the movies before on the big screen” Snyder revealed.
“It’s kinda fun to really let (the actors) stretch their legs and inhabit those characters. It is a process to make a team out of this group of individuals, but for the greater good maybe they can put their differences aside” the filmmaker added.
This trailer does a lot of incredible things, show us the Justice League! Aquaman looks so badass and awesome basically, Jason Momoa IS Arthur Curry. Gal Gadot continues to show her beautiful fierceness as Wonder Woman and her acting is getting better and better.

Elsewhere, Ezra Miller’s Flash continues to impress as we see him tapping into the speed force like no man’s business and we’ll see depth, character moment when seeing his dad, Henry Allen (Billy Crudup), in prison. While Ray Fisher as Cyborg looks fine and once a new trailer comes out and we learn and see more of Victor Stone then I’ll be able to make a better judgement.

Speaking of the newer characters “they’re such awesome personalities in the movie” promised Snyder, adding “You have Jason stomping around as this inked hairy man, just this mythic figure. And you’ve got Ezra, who’s full of life and hilarious and all over the place and amazing – a really fun and also poignant Flash. And Ray’s story is in a lot of ways the heart of the movie.”

(No pressure then Fisher, good luck.)
Finally, Ben Affleck continues to show why he’s the best on-screen Batman/Bruce Wayne we’ve ever had and his tactical suit is pretty damn dope.

Batman will be the leader of getting this band together and we’ll be seeing the continuation of his character growing in Justice League after the events in BvS. “He’s been a loner for certainly his crime-fighting career, maybe with the exception of Robin, said Snyder. “When we meet him in BvS, he’s defiantly at his low point of isolation. That was always out intention, that Justice League would be this continuation of Batman evolve into a more complete hero.”
The other thing, besides the epic action, was the brilliant, massive war between what looks like the Amazons, Atlantians and Mankind against Darkseid and his Parademons on what could be the opening prologue to the film similar to Man of Steel and that impressive opening, just turned to 11.

Finally, there was one character missing from this line-up, Superman? Of course, he died at the end of BvS, but we can’t have a Justice League without the boy scout.
Snyder felt the same way and teased fans “It’s hard to have a Justice League without Superman. That’s how I feel about it.”
It seemed to have been a character arc since Man of Steel as the director remembers early talks about what they should do.
“It was always a super-intriguing concept to me to have this opportunity to have him make that sacrifice but also have him be this, in a weird sort of way, the why of Justice League: What do you do now with him? What does the team think? What does the world need? All that comes to play. It’s fun for us but it’ll be interesting for audiences what we do with him.”
Now with the marketing machine just slowly waking up, I don’t want to see any Superman in the marketing and trailers. I know I’m in the minority on this, but just keep fans and general audiences wondering until the film.
