Yesterday (4th April) would’ve marked Heath Ledger’s 38th birthday and to remember his passing the first trailer for I Am Heath Ledger dropped and it’s utterly heartbreaking.
I Am Heath Ledger is a 90-minute documentary directed by Derik Murray and it follows the actor’s journey to fame, featuring never-before-seen footage and interviews with Ledger’s peers, close friends and family.
The trailer showcases Ledger’s love of film and photography as well his aspirations to become a director and it’s just another reminder of the extreme talent we lost.
I Am Heath Ledger include some insight about the actor from the likes of Naomi Watts, Ang Lee, Ben Mendelsohn and the Ledger family.
The documentary will premiere at the Tribeca Film Festival on 23rd April and it’ll be getting a limited theatrical release in the US on May 3 before airing on Spike on Wednesday 17th May.
