Green Lantern Corps "Still In The Works" At Warner Bros/DC Films

With DC Film recently going through some changes, a lot of rumoured projects have all been thrown in the air but one film that has been sightly confirmed to moving ahead is Green Lantern Corps.

Last week, it was revealed Warner Bros appointed IT and Conjuring producer Walter Hamada will be overseeing all DC-based film production and the entire DC Universe.

There has been no official confirmation about what will happen with the upcoming DCU slate and future projects. Green Lantern Corps has been a part of the slate since Warner Bros’ panel at San Diego Comic-Con in 2015 and then again last year.

David S. Goyer and Justin Rhodes were hired to write the film and recently at the TSA press tour on Tuesday 9th January, Goyer was speaking to IGN about GL and gave a quick update saying it’s “still in the works.”

As for more info coming out soon regarding plot and casting the filmmaker and Dark Knight writer was less optimistic admitting, “Who knows, especially with what’s currently going on with the DC Universe? There’s obviously a whole recalibration happening with that right now.”

Green Lanterns were teased in Justice League and rumoured earlier cuts had Lanterns appearing in a post credit scene to reveal the wider DC Universe. Let’s hope these hits won’t be for nothing and we’ll hopefully see the Green Lantern Corps appearing on the big screen in 2020.
