Early Post Wrestlemaina 34 Superstar Shake-Up Predictions

IMAGE FROM LAST YEAR

We’re under four weeks away from “the greatest show on show” WRESTLEMANIA! But while I will be doing a preview/prediction once the full card is completed and then they’ll be a review of the 34th Wrestlemania the following day (Monday 9th April).

What I believe will happen during the Post-Mania Raw is there’ll be a superstar shake-up and here are some bold but believable trades between Raw and Smackdown and NXT call-ups.

Before we even talk about trades and call-ups, the red and blue brands will be getting a new division and belts with Stephanie McMahon walking out with the whole Raw Women’s roster in the ring to announce the Women’s Tag Team titles.

This wouldn’t be a massive shock but obviously get a massive pop from the crowd and it makes sense with the size of both rosters but they both need maybe four women each.

Additionally, with the announcement on Smackdown, the next day have BOTH Nikki and Brie Bella come out and make their attentions clear they’re returning as free agents so they can get their hands on the tag titles.

Raw

After being the No.1 guy on Smackdown for nearly two years, it’s time for AJ Styles to become the guy on the A show after pasting the touch to Shinsuke Nakamura at Wrestlemania.

Additionally, with being a face for maybe a year, Style will become a heel to challenge Roman Reigns’ Universal title (yeah, he’s beating Brock at WM34 as he’ll be going back to UFC).

Meanwhile, the next wrestler swapping brands will be Randy Orton because he such seems so bored on Smackdown especially the past 10 months at least and going to Raw will be a new place and could also battle for the Universal title as that’s the last title he needs to complete his set.

Additionally, despite being the most over babyface of the whole company, Smackdown doesn’t seem to be using him and for his career, Rusev needs to switch to Raw and become a babyface tag team with Aiden English and bring a much need boost to their tag division.

Finally, the move to the red brand might be what Tye Dillinger needs to restart his career as a cocky heel to take over from The Miz (who’ll be away for a few months to be with his newborn baby). Once Miz returns to Raw make him The Perfect 10’s mentor.

Once she losses the Smackdown Women’s title to Asuka, Charlotte Flair will make her return as the Queen of Monday Night Raw.

The other three women that could switch is Lana then with Carmella (who still has her Money in the Bank briefcase as she has a better chance to winning the Raw Women’s title then Smackdown’s post WM) and Natalya and together make a decent heel tag team.

The main area is to look at bringing up from NXT is a tag team that’s been ready for the call-up is the Authors of Pain to join The Bar, Rusev and English and if Raw give a bigger push to The Revival then Monday Night’s will have a strong tag division.

I’d put a question mark over Sanity because I do think Eric Young and co could bring havoc to Raw if handled right, but would you want to call up Killian Dain or leave him in NXT competing for the NXT title against Aleister Black and Sanity goes up as a three-piece? The added bonus would be another strong tag team.

With NXT women call-ups it’s trickier to choose, obviously current NXT Women champ Ember Moon to go into the main event picture and with Nikki Cross moving up with Sanity the only other female I could think of to improve the women’s tag division and teaming up with Alicia Fox to make one fierce team would be Bianca Belair.

Smackdown Live!

With Nakamura being THE guy for Smackdown, he’ll need a new rival and I think this will be determined at Wrestlemania during the triple threat for the Intercontinental Championship with either Seth Rollins or Finn Balor winning and the other going to the blue brand.

As I believe Rollins will leave New Orleans as the new IC champ, that’ll leave Balor to move and challenge for the WWE championship and also become a heel as joining him would be his New Japan buddies Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson with Balor Club becoming an actual faction.

With Gallows and Anderson moving Smackdown tag division gets less stale as they’ll be four top teams – The Usos, The New Day and The Bludgeon Brothers and we can’t forget Breezeago!

Making his return to WWE post WM and leaving Raw and 205 live to be taken seriously in the mid card fighting for the US title and maybe even the WWE title from time to time is Neville.

Keeping our fingers crossed let’s hope Maria and Mike Kanellis return fully healthy and fit and it’ll be like having a new wrestler for the blue brand.

The biggest shocks will come from the women’s division with a new champion in the shape of Asuka as she can dominate Tuesday nights after doing so on Monday’s.

Elsewhere, both Bayley and Sasha Banks will become team blue but keep them apart (as best as possible) and focus on new storylines much like Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn for a while until recently.

The other big pop on Tuesday will come from the NXT call-ups as NXT champ Andrade “Cien” Almas will get called up after impressing at the Royal Rumble and even though either brand would be good for him Smackdown might be more ideal.

The other men getting the move will be the Johnny wrestling himself, Johnny Gargano and I’d put him right into the US title scene.

The final male NXT superstar would be Drew McIntyre but depends on his injury and if he’s not fit enough to return then maybe Rodrick Strong could join Smackdown, on the other hand, he could go to 205 live.

As for the NXT women, the call-up fans have been wanting and waiting for a while now, especially during the early days of the Riott Squad and Absolution, is Peyton Royce and Billie Kay and together would make the Smackdown iconic.

Finally, following the example of Sarah Logan, maybe bring up 20-year-old Aussie prodigy Rhea Ripley to the main roster and have her become tag partners with Becky Lynch.
