Tom Hardy's Venom Movie Is Adding Some Carnage

Tom Hardy’s upcoming Spider-Man spin-off Venom has finally got its villain and things are about to get Carnage.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the first entrant of these new Sony Spidey spin-offs with not only reintroduce the villain/anti-hero Venom but now his savage, murderous alien counterpart named Carnage.

To give some background there are some similarities between Venom and Carnage as the latter is an alien symbiote and it merges with its human host serial killer Cletus Kasady making him even more dangerous once the symbiote takes control.

The difference is Carnage refers to itself as “I”, instead of “we”, this is because the symbiote actually merged into Kasady’s bloodstream becoming a singular entity.

This has made the murderous psychopath incredibly powerful and destructive to the point Spider-Man and Venom have teamed up at times in the Marvel Comics to take him down.

This will be an exciting time for comic fans and fans of the web-swinger as this will be the first time ever the character will appear in live-action, after appearing many times in the Spider-Man animated TV series.

This is the right move from Sony as this is the only villain to give Hardy’s Venom problems and is a true threat, plus with the alien symbiote’s they have a connection and in a weird way they’re kinda twins.

As for some to star opposite Hardy and play Kasady and Carnage. I think it might be someone lesser known than the British actor, but just as good as a character actor and I think plenty would love this role.

Which is why I think Ben Foster would be a decent choice and would crush the role.

Venom is slated to come out on October 5, 2018.
