I don’t like Quentin Tarantino films but I’ve always respected him for wanting to do his own films over joining a franchise; however, it looks like he wants to retire on a decent payday as it looks like he’s about to join one.
What’s even more surprising is he wants to go boldly where he’s never gone before and opened talks to join the Star Trek franchise as he has an idea for a film and he could possibly direct.
Deadline, who broke the story, revealed Tarantino had come out with a great idea and shared it with Paramount and JJ Abrams, who directed the first two films and produced the third. The studio plan to assemble a writers room who will work on a script once hearing Tarantino’s idea.

If everything goes to plan the studio will hope the filmmaker will helm the film with Abrams attached as a producer.
This would be a major boost to the franchise has the previous three films have had issues connected to general audiences and Trekkies alike, but they should keep this decent assembled cast together.
Tarantino is planning to film his biopic about Charles Manson and will be released by Sony Pictures after they won a bidding war and is set to be released on August 9, 2019, on the 50th anniversary of Sharon Tate’s death.
