Millarworld is starting to take shape at Netflix as the sci-fi fantasy comic Reborn has found its director in LEGO Batman Movie Chris McKay with Sandra Bullock and It producer Vertigo Entertainment will be producing for the streaming service.
Reborn has a great story with the backing for Netflix will look incredible, especially if it gets a cinema release and shown on IMAX.
Anyway, Reborn centres on Bonnie Black, an eighty-year-old woman who dies in a Manhattan hospital, but she finds herself getting reborn in the prime of her life in the underworld world called Adystria.

Adystria is a magical land of dragons and monsters where good and evil are waging enteral war. In this magical underworld, she meets her old friends and loved ones waiting, except her husband, who passed away before her. However, with a sword and with her late father by her side, she sets off through the war-torn landscape on an adventure to find where he is.
Deadline broke the story states, after the success of Bird Box, Bullock is returning to Netflix to produce the film alongside Roy Lee and Miri Yoon from Vertigo Entertainment with Mark Millar and Greg Capullo will be executive producers.
Sources close to the project told Deadline the Oscar winner Bullock could also be the film's lead.
Elsewhere, this addition is going to make McKay one knackered filmmaker as he’s also attached to helm Johnny Quest for Warner Bros as well as Nightwing (whenever that’ll happen) and LEGO Batman Movie 2, plus Dungeons and Dragons at Paramount.
However, this story sounds like a great premise and you have a great filmmaker in McKay behind the camera and then you have an Oscar winner actress potentially leading the film.
