Steven Yeun Leads Exciting Cast For Amazon Animation Superhero Series Invincible

Since it was first reported at the beginning/middle of 2017 that Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg were planning a movie based off the successful comic book Invincible.

I remember writing a story about it, but since then we’re heard fuck all until yesterday as the Robert Kirkman comic will be now going to Amazon as an animated series.

Firstly, the idea of it being animated instead of live-action is actually better as they can now go harder and bloodier for less than it would’ve cost to do the same as a live action movie. Plus being a series will be able to tell the story in a longer form which could also be better for the property.

Secondly, it’s still unknown if the live-action film is officially dead, but this must be a sign that it is.

Anyway, as well as the news Amazon has picked it up for an animated series, Revenge Of The Fans has revealed the exciting cast that has joined the project.

The Walking Dead/ Sorry To Bother You star Steven Yeun and Khary Payton (also from Walking Dead but also Young Justice and Teen Titans Go!) will be leading the series as the website states as “undisclosed roles” but it’s a good bet Yeun will be voicing teenage superhero Mark Grayson/ Invincible. While Payton could voice Grayson’s father Nolan aka the most powerful superhero on the planet, Omni-Man.

Meanwhile, the impressive voice cast continues with Deadpool 2 star Zazie Beetz, Clancy Brown, Zachary Quinto, Jason Mantzoukas, Gillian Jacobs, Andrew Rannells and Chris Diamantopoulos.

While their roles are to undisclosed, it’s a safe bet most of this cast will be part of the superhero team Teen Team, a team Mark occasionally works with.

This is an exciting voice cast working on a possibly exciting project which could be a must watch for Amazon.
