The Bennet Sisters Are Ready For Battle

We're fast approaching Valentine's Day and what better film to see on this romantic day than Jane Austin's classic Pride and Prejudice 'oh Mr. Darcy'. However, this story is a bit old plus there's nothing to get the guys interested, step forward Seth Grahame - Smith (the author behind Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter) with his unique retelling, Pride and Prejudice and Zombies.

That's right the Bennet sisters have gone all action heroine. These girls are here to fight, not to be in the kitchen, as they have to battle the undead (who have returned after the black plague) as well as social prejudices and love.

Starring the beautiful Lily James as Elizabeth Bennet, who leads what could be described as an all-female zombie hunting Avengers alongside her sisters Jane (Bella Heathcote); Lydia (Ellie Bamber); Mary (Millie Brady) and Kitty (Suki Waterhouse).

This film, directed by Burr Steers, is full of British talent including Matt Smith; Sam Riley; Jack Huston; Charles Dance; Douglas Booth and Lena Headey.

From the trailers PPZ looks a lot of fun and sometimes for Valentine's Day it's all you need as your date can watch strong female characters kicking all sorts of arse as well as watching this classic love story. While you can also enjoy seeing these stunning girls killing the crap out of zombies as well as showing all kinds of leg.

'Pride and Prejudice and Zombies' is a fresh twist on JANE AUSTEN's widely celebrated novel. A mysterious plague has fallen upon 19th century England, the land is overrun with the undead and feisty heroine Elizabeth Bennet (LILY JAMES) is a master of martial arts and weaponry. Casting aside personal and social prejudices, Elizabeth and Mr. Darcy (SAM RILEY) must unite on the blood-soaked battlefield to rid the country of the zombie menace and discover their true love for one another.

Pride and Prejudice and Zombies open in UK cinemas Thursday 11th February.
