Due to San Diego Comic-Con, it’s a little light on the ground as DC Films will want to save their biggest news for their panel in a couple of weeks. However, it was a huge week for Suicide Squad and there might be some Flash casting.

As stated above, it was a HUGE week for Suicide Squad as Entertainment Weekly had exclusive interviews with director David Ayer and the cast plus we finally know the plot and what The Joker will be up to and some new stills from the supervillain team-up.

You can read my in-depth look here including Ayer’s leftfield directing methods.

Also to celebrate the release of the magazine, photographer Clay Enos took control of EW Photo Department's Instagram to show even more images from the film and image of Zack Snyder directing on the set of Justice League.

If you don’t know who Clay Enos is then you’re missing out because Enos is the dude taking all the beautiful images from DC Films/WB projects. So every magazine or release image you see a DC Comic character trust in know Enos was behind the lens and getting the perfect shot.

I have massive respect for this man, not because when I see his images it’s like seeing my childhood coming to life because he’s so talented you see more details behind every image and most of my favourite pictures he has taken are normally scenery taken with an iPhone.

He’s also brilliant tweeting back at us crazy/passionate DC fans. So give Enos a follow on Twitter and Instagram.

Let’s move away from Suicide Squad for just a minute as Variety are reporting “The Flash” director Rick Famuyiwa is looking at Kiersey Clemons to play Iris West.

Clemons has previously worked with Famuyiwa on critically acclaimed dramedy “Dope” as well as recently starring in Bad Neighbours 2.

Justin Kroll, the man who broke the news, posted on Twitter that Clemons is heading out to London to film. I’m guessing with Ezra Miller, who is playing The Flash.

However, after this news broke The Hollywood Reporter’s Borys Kit also when on to Twitter to post this.

So it looks like we have a shortlist to who could be Iris West and some offence to Rita Ora, but there’s no why you’ll be playing Iris. So out of Clemons and Lucy Boynton, I’d have to go for Boynton. My main reason is because I haven’t seen Dope yet and I loved Boynton’s performance in Sing Street.

As you can see the DC film news is slim because Comic-Con is around the corner and Warner Bros will want to keep hold of their breaking news for then as they’ll get so much coverage.

We now know the WB panel in Hall H will take place on Saturday 23rd between 11:30am and 1:30pm and I’m guessing the first 45 minutes/ hour will be films like The LEGO Batman film and Fantastic Beasts and Where To Find Them.

Then the final hour will be all about DC Films with Suicide Squad and Wonder Woman panels. This will be the first of many Comic-Cons that DC and Marvel will be going head to head and trying to upstage each other and will try and steal the con.

This is just me speculating/ having fun for what I’d like DC to do, firstly get both Jon Berg and Geoff Johns to come out and talk about DC Films and what fans can expect, including the line-up of films with a release date of the solo Ben Affleck Batman film and they’ll be a Man of Steel 2 before 2020.

Then move to the panels and reveal they’re holding a Suicide Squad screening that night, and it’s likely because the film will be out two weeks later, and it could start the positive buzz for the film. Followed up by Wonder Woman and the first official trailer.

Finally, Zack Snyder and the Justice League cast come out with the cast saying a quickly hello and let Snyder talk about Batman v Superman and let the fans know he has learnt and now it’s lit a fire under his stomach to make sure Justice League is the film every fan wanted and end it with the Barry Allen/Bruce Wayne scene and release the first official image of the cast as the Justice League.

So what do you think? Do you want to see DC/WB do more at Comic-Con or will anything Spider-Man related upstage anything DC/Marvel reveal? Also, who do you want to see as Iris West? Tweet me @Shaun_Wren and make sure you follow Clay Enos too.
