Great news everyone, The Incredibles 2 is set to hit cinemas sooner than expected after swapping release date with Toy Story 4.
According to Variety, Pixar’s superhero sequel will now be released on June 15, 2018, instead of 21st June 2019, which has now gone to Woody and the gang.
The swapping of dates will be for the best of both films as fans have wanted a sequel to The Incredibles since the film was released back in 2004 and even though we’re all excited to see Buzz and Woody back, but was there a need for a fourth film?
Don’t get me wrong I love the Toy Story trilogy, it’s easily in the top
three of perfect trilogy’s, but that’s my point the three films are so
perfect and the third film ended perfectly we didn’t need to go back.
However, the buzz of seeing the Mr Incredible and the family after 14 years will help generate buzz for Toy Story 4, which will be directed by Toy Story and Toy Story 2 helmer John Lasseter.
The Incredibles is the best Fantastic Four film ever made and 14 years is too long for a sequel, but as a Pixar fan, I know the wait will be worth it.
