Does Deadpool Show Up in Logan? By The Sound of Things Sadly Not

Comic book fans especially those you’ve read X-Men have wanted to see Deadpool and Wolverine in a movie together for years (X-Men: Origins doesn’t count EVER!). Their hunger grew after the references to Hugh Jackman and Wolverine in this year’s Deadpool.

It sounded like 20th Century Fox were listening and thought about all the extra money they could get in the box office from audiences wanting to see Ryan Reynolds and Jackman on screen together.

The Wrap were reporting Reynolds had recently shot a crossover scene with Deadpool 2 David Leitch for Jackman’s final film as Wolverine (after 17 years in the role) in the highly anticipated Logan.

The US publication claimed this crossover scene will happen as part of Logan’s post-credits, but Fox neither confirmed or denied the report, but since both Reynolds and Logan director James Mangold denying the rumour with Mangold strongly denying it.

The Prisoner 24601 is a reference to Jackman's Les Miserables character Jean Valjean.

Don’t get me wrong Umberto Gonzalez (the man who reported this rumour) is a good bloke and I’d say most of his scoops have been on point, however, he has also missed the mark by a very long way on a handful too. So as per with these sort of rumours take it with a pinch of salt and normally believe the person making the film.

Like plenty of fanboys, I want to see this happen and Reynolds has previously called on X-Men fans to lobby and stop Jackman from cutting up his claws for scrap metal after Logan is released.

“I want Deadpool and Wolverine in a movie together,” Reynolds spoke this month. “What we’re gonna have to do is convince Hugh. I’m going to need to do what I can to get my internet friends back on board to help rally another cause down the line.

“Hugh Jackman is one of the best human beings. Part of the reason I want to do a Deadpool/Wolverine movie is not just because I think the two would light the screen on fire but I genuinely love the guy.”

See these quotes make me think Deadpool could show up in Logan, but if this did happen it’ll be more likely Jackman would show up in Deadpool 2 as a comical cameo.

Finally, it wouldn’t fit tonally for Deadpool showed up in Logan because by the looks of all the images and the trailer lean towards a gritty western rather than a fun, superhero flick.

Logan claws his way into both US and UK cinemas on 3rd March followed up Deadpool 2 in 2018.
