Keep hold of your wallets, Rebel Wilson and her new sidekick Oscar-winning actress Anne Hathaway will be teaming up in the remake of Dirty Rotten Scoundrels.
Following on the footsteps of Ghostbusters and Ocean’s Eight, this will be a female-led reboot of the 1988 film starring Steve Martin and Michael Caine, but the film won’t be called Dirty Rotten Scoundrels instead renamed Nasty Women.
The movie will be centred on two female con-artists who team up to scam tech prodigy.
Wilson has been linked to this project as both star and producer for a while and Deadline have now reported Hathaway is in advanced talks to star as her partner in crime.
Jac Schaeffer, who penned the script for the new invasion movie The Shower which Hathaway will star, will be writing the script.
This won’t be the first time The Dark Knight Rise star will be steal/conning someone out of money as she’ll be starring in another all-female heist film, Ocean’s Eight alongside some incredibly talented actors.
Joining Hathaway is Sandra Bullock, Cate Blanchett, Helena Bonham Carter, Mindy Kaling and Rihanna plus plenty more.
