Tom Hardy Reads A Bedtime Story And Mums Loved It

Sometimes in life the simplest things really are free.

Twitter when into meltdown on New Year’s Eve for one reason, Tom Hardy was reading a bedtime story on CBeebies and Mums and men and women without children were tuning in.

Hardy was reading You Must Bring a Hat by Simon Philip and Kate Hindley and if the already high cuteness factor wasn’t enough the Oscar-nominated actor was joined by is pet dog Woody (Woodstock) just to make you love him even more.

By the response on Twitter, it looks like this will be the most watch show on CBeebies.

You’ll be able to see a lot of Hardy in 2017 as his latest project Taboo hits our screens this Saturday (7th January) on BBC One, but this is strictly a show for adults.

In the eight-part period thriller, Hardy plays James Delaney, a troubled man who returns to the UK from Africa after the death of this father and declares war on the establishment.

The Dark Knight Rises star spoke to Digital Spy and admits “people might not like” his show, but he’s accepted it.

“People will either love it or hate it, but it won’t be in the middle of the road. Either it’s going to go well, or it’s going to go really f**king badly” he added.

“But it was an effort made in the right pursuit, I believe.”

You can catch up with Hardy on CBeebies Bedtime Story on the BBC iPlayer and Taboo starts this Saturday.
