It Was A Great Weekend For Two Wonderful Trailers!

This weekend we had two trailers for the summer and they couldn’t be more different, but both are fantastic!

The first trailer I want to talk about Baby Driver, this is a passion project for director Edgar Wright after he left the director’s chair of Marvel’s Ant-Man.

No one really knew anything before the film was shown at South by Southwest Film Festival in Austin, Texas. However, we now (thanks to Rotten Tomatoes and the trailer) got a synopsis.

“A talented, young getaway driver (Ansel Elgot) relies on the beat of his personal soundtrack to be the best in the game. But after being coerced into working for a crime boss (Kevin Spacey), he must face the music when a doomed heist threatens his life, love and freedom.”

Critics were buzzing about this film after the SXSW screening, it’s got 100% on rotten tomatoes and check out some of these tweets:

Judging based on these trailers, there’s two, one American and one International (which is better), this film looks amazing! The way it’s shot, the cinematography, the action, the cast and the music, I mean seriously Edger Wright can do no wrong.

This trailer(s) shows Elgot could become a dark horse to become Nightwing and personally Wright could become the helmer for The Flash.

Meanwhile, sticking with DC and Warner Bros, we got to see the brand new (and hopefully final) trailer showcasing the origins of Diana becoming Wonder Woman.

As I said above, I hope this is the final trailer because we don’t need to see any more. We’re under three months and we got three incredible trailers two action packed trailers and one story trailer.

Themyscira just looks beautiful and true to the name of Paradise Island and I also liked the thick accents of the Amazons and they sound very South African, so this leads me to think Themyscira will be around the Indian/South Pacific Ocean.

Elsewhere, I think people in the UK will be laughing when they hear Diana’s description of London ringing true. Also, this trailer helps us as audience content with Wonder Woman as a person.

Patty Jenkins has directed a beautiful, action superhero film and Gal Gadot is Wonder Woman, she just embodies everything about the character.

Finally, I really do believe this could be the first DCU film that’ll be liked and even loved by everyone.

Wonder Woman comes out on June 2 and Baby Driver arrives in cinemas on 16th August.
