New Wonder Woman Details Revealed

IMAGE VIA WARNER BROS/ CLAY ENOS

The film to come out from the DCU is Wonder Woman and we now have new details about female led superhero after a handful of luckily bastard journalists and film bloggers visited the set and the edit bay in London.

We learnt basically the plot of the film and more details about the upcoming including interviews with director Patty Jenkins and Princess Diana herself Gal Gadot.

One of the best breakdowns I read was from Joblo and their video is great to have a watch if you don’t fancy reading.

!!CONTAINS MINOR SPOILERS!!

We learnt the exact origins of Diana, the Amazons and the secret island of Themyscira and the Greek Gods will be a part of the DCU.

Zeus is Diana’s dad and he created mankind to live side-by-side with the gods, but Zeus’ son Ares, the God of War, is jealous of his father’s relationship with humans so he begins to corrupt them with war and hatred and this led them to kill all the gods.

However, Zeus created the Amazons to fight Ares and restore peace until they were enslaved by Ares. To save the Amazons, Zeus creates Themyscira as a safe haven before he was killed.

He also created the God Killer sword, the only weapon that can kill Ares, and left to the Amazonians with other gifts from the Gods.

We also learnt about Diana as a warrior and as a person, which seems to have people excited.

Besides Ares, we find out more info about the film’s two other villains – Danny Huston’s General Ludendorff who works with the evil Dr Moreau aka Doctor Poison played by Elena Anaya.

I like that the rumour is there could be more to Huston’s German General that meets the eye and that Anaya’s Doctor Poison is a smart villain.

Meanwhile, some more characters were revealed including David Thewlis’ Sir Patrick Morgan as well as Ewen Bremner playing Charlie (a British sharpshooter), Said Taghmaoui’s Sameer (a flirtatious master of disguise), and Eugene Brave Rock’s Chief (a tradesman that’s good at moving people and goods through treacherous locations).

One of my favourite and seriously looking forward to seeing is this animated origins of the gods, amazon’s and Themyscira because it’s something different we’ve never seen before.
