We could be seeing a Beetlejuice/Batman reunion as Michael Keaton is in talks to star as the villain in Dumbo.

According to Variety, the Oscar-nominated actor is currently in negotiations with Disney for their new live-action adaptation of Dumbo helmed by Tim Burton.

This would be the first time in 25 years they would’ve worked together since 1992’s Batman Returns.

It’s not just Keaton who’s in talks with the Mouse House as Colin Farrell is also having meetings to star alongside Eva Green and Danny DeVito.

Recently, Keaton is making a habit of playing the bad guy as we’ll see him be the antagonist in Spider-Man: Homecoming.

Ehren Kruger is penning the script based on the 1941 Disney classic about a baby circus elephant who is made fun of for his large ears and is separated from his mother.

Even though the new story is being kept quiet, but sources for The Hollywood Reporter are stating “the one new thing this new version does is expand and deepen the circus aspect of the story.”

If a deal is made, Keaton will be the villain, who hopes of buying the circus to exploit the elephants.
