Netflix At SDCC 2017

San Diego Comic Con isn’t was just dominated by Warner Bros and Marvel Studios, Netflix had a strong display as well.

From their film studio premiering the brand new trailer for the Will Smith led cop, fantasy thriller called Bright. While there was an exclusive clip that dropped for Death Note and the streaming service also had their premiere there too.

Netflix also bought it when it came to their TV shows.

The Defenders was a big bonus on Friday (21st July) when they released the awesome, action packed trailer and the sneakiest of sneak peeks of Jon Bernthal as The Punisher ahead of his own series.

Head of Marvel TV, Jeph Loeb, also confirmed we’ll be getting Season 3 of Daredevil plus Season 2 of Jessica Jones, Luke Cage and Iron Fist.

Additionally, the lucky 6,000 fans in Hall H were treated to the special screening of the first episode of The Defenders. A whole month before the whole season drops on August 18.

Elsewhere, there was a trailer for Stranger Things 2 and things look creepy and I won’t be watching as I don’t like the scary things. However, if you are a fan then all nine episodes will be dropping on October 27.

Then there’s a brand new trailer for the newest addition to the Star Trek franchise – Star Trek: Discovery. To be honest, I was never a fan of Star Trek but this trailer looks decent enough to give the first episode a watch.

The show will premiere on Netflix on Monday 25th September.

Finally, one of my favourite TV shows this year is Riverdale. With the show currently filming its second season, they still showed a sneak peek as to what’s to come from this upcoming series and things are going to get darker.

Riverdale is returning this October.
