Schedule Conflicts May Cost The Justice League Reshoots Nearly $25 Million

Shock big budget studio is spending money on making their film better during reshoots or additional photography or whatever fucking word we’re using now.

Yesterday, Variety released a very well written and interesting piece about the issues Warner Bros are having with their Justice League reshoots and the amount of money they’re spending.

Firstly, when saying issues it’s nothing major it’s just the studio trying to work out when to get their cast into costume and working.

The issue comes when they are one of the most in demand cast of actors in Hollywood today with half of the members in different parts of the world filming ongoing production.

This is why Warner Bros are rumouredly spending $25 million on making this film be the best it possibly be following the dominating success of Wonder Woman.

For example, Jason Momoa fellow from Australia to London for a few day and went back to the land of Oz to continue shooting Aquaman.

Meanwhile, Ezra Miller is reprising his role in Fantastic Beast and Where to Find Them for the sequel, which is currently filming at WB’s Leavesden studios. The upside is both Fantastic Beasts and Justice League are filming in London and they can plan his schedule accordingly to suit up as The Flash.

Both of these situations would cost WB the money, but the best thing out of this whole report is about Henry Cavill and Mission Impossible 6.

A post shared by Henry Cavill (@henrycavill) on

According to Variety, “Man of Steel had expected to be able to finish shooting the sixth ‘Mission: Impossible’ film before needing to don Superman’s spandex again. That has not been the case, however, as the new scenes that are being shot have required him to jump back and forth from each production.

“Because of this, a moustache he grew for his character in the ‘Mission: Impossible’ sequel, will have to be digitally removed in post-production. Paramount, which is distributing the ‘Mission: Impossible’ sequel, would not allow Cavill to shave the facial hair while production was taking place.”

Sorry, but this is one of the funniest and best things I’ve heard come out from any of these sorts of reports and I think Joss Wheldon and Warner Bros are missing a trick because we now all want to see moustache Superman.

It’s understandable from Paramount, Tom Cruise and Cavill himself won’t shave it has this could be another franchise for him to be a part of. Plus I don’t know how he’s going to concentrate when he’s thinking about his moustache during these additional scenes.

Furthermore, instead of digitally removing the moustache. Why not just add hair and make Superman have a beard.

Elsewhere, the Hollywood trade also gave some more insight into the crediting for Wheldon and signs look to be pointing towards a producer and/or a screenwriting credit instead of a co-directing credit.

I think that’s the best of both worlds really as I did think he might’ve deserved a directing credit next to Zack Snyder.

They go on to say the Avengers director has come on board to punish up the dialogue and the connective tissue, both things he’s brilliant.

Funnily enough, that’s why Snyder pick him in the first place as it was revealed to The Hollywood Reporter when he had to step down back in May.

Warner Bros president Toby Emmerich said two months ago, “The directing is minimal and it has to adhere to the style and tone and the template that Zack set. We’re not introducing any new characters. It’s the same characters in some new scenes.”

Finally, DC fans and reporters really need to chill the hell out when it comes to big budget reshoots. For fans, these happen all the time and it’ll happen with Marvel and Infinity War and defiantly Star Wars with Han Solo.

Some reporters should really stop poking the bear when it comes to things like this especially with headlines because it doesn’t help anyone.
