Warner Bros Are Bringing The Big Guns To Hall H At SDCC 2017

For the past couple of years Warner Bros, especially when it comes to their DC trailers, have won the Hall H battle with other Hollywood studios Marvel and Fox. This year it looks like it won’t be any different.

As on Saturday, July 22 at 11:30 am will be bringing the big guns in the shape of Hall H panels for Justice League, Blade Runner 2049 and Steven Spielberg’s Ready, Player, One as well as we’ll be getting an early look at James Wan’s Aquaman. All of this will be helmed by the master of ceremonies Chris Hardwick.

Major big hitters like Ben Affleck, Gal Gadot, Ryan Gosling, Harrison Ford, Robin Wright, Denis Villeneuve, Steven Spielberg and loads more. In a press release:

  • “Director Steven Spielberg’s ‘Ready, Player, One,’ based on the hugely popular Ernest Cline novel, with stars Tye Sheridan, Oliva Cooke and T.J. Miller, author/co-screenwriter Cline, co-screenwriter Zak Penn, and Spielberg on the panel.
  • The long-awaited ‘Blade Runner 2049,’ Alcon Entertainment’s sequel to the cult classic takes us 30 more years into the future, with stars Ryan Gosling, Harrison Ford, as well as Ana de Armas, Sylvia Hoeks, Robin Wright, Lennie James and Mackenzie Davis, writers Hampton Fancher and Michael Green, and the film’s director, Denis Villeneuve;
  • And the greatest Super Heroes of the DC universe, united for the first time on the big screen, with stars Ben Affleck, Gal Gadot, Jason Momoa, Ezra Miller and Ray Fisher talking all things ‘Justice League,’ as well as an early look at director James Wan’s ‘Aquaman.’"

So can we expect?

A first look at Ready, Player, One as to be odds on to happen now and I expect the teaser trailer will be released at the same time as it being shown in Hall H. The same goes for a possible BTS of Blade Runner 2049 and I’m very certain we’ll be getting a brand new Justice League trailer.

As for Aquaman, I think the first official images of Jason Momoa's King of Atlantis, Amber Heard's Mera, Patrick Wilson as Orm/Ocean Master, Black Manta played by Yahya Abdul-Mateen II and maybe Nicole Kidman as Queen Atlanna will be released online. Meanwhile, fans in Hall H will likely get to see some exclusive footage and concept art.

I still have my fingers crossed we’ll see Zack Snyder making a special, surprise appearance for the Justice League panel. Plus, maybe just maybe Geoff Johns talking about the future of the DCEU.
