Thor: Ragnarok Is Heading To The UK Even Sooner

You have to wonder what is it with Disney’s love for the UK as we always get the earlier releases for films like Stars Wars and especially Marvel.

This tradition continues this Autumn with Thor: Ragnarok as we were already getting a week before the US release date of November 3rd. Now the threequel will be coming out 10 DAYS before on Tuesday 24th October instead of Friday 27th October.

The news was revealed on a brand new poster on Marvel UK’s official Twitter account.

The reason for the change of date is so Marvel can capitalise on the school half-term holidays and echoes what Marvel did last year with the release date of Doctor Strange, which also opened on a Tuesday during the UK’s half-term holiday.

I’m super excited to see this Thor movie and I never thought I’d be saying that about a Thor movie. The reason I’m excited is mainly that of the director Taika Waititi and the trailers (though basically telling the whole film) have made the film look kick ass.

I’m mainly looking forward to seeing Tessa Thompson be an awesome, badass Valkyrie and Cate Blanchett has the potential of being the MCU’s best villain ever.

The fact we in the UK now get it 10 days before the US makes it an added bonus.

Thor: Ragnarok smashes its way to UK cinemas on October 24 and in the US on November 3.
