Stadium – Ricoh Arena

Director of Rugby – Dai Young

Captain – Joe Launchbury

Last Season – 2nd (Runners Up)

INS & OUTS

Losing a talented player like Kurtley Beale will be a blow to Wasps, but it’s oddly nothing big as they’ve added former England and Great Britain 7s star Marcus Watson and his former Newcastle Falcons teammate Ben Harris to add to their already incredibly impressive attacking team.

INS - Paul Doran-Jones (Gloucester Rugby), Antonio “TJ” Harris (Nottingham Rugby), Ben Harris (Newcastle Falcons), Juan de Jongh (Stormers), Gabirele Lovobalavu (Bayonne), Marcus Watson (Newcastle Falcons).

OUTS - Kurtley Beale (Waratahs), Frank Halai (Pau), Tom Howe (Worcester Warriors), Alapati Leiua (Bristol Rugby), Phil Swainston (Harlequins), Tom Bristow (released), Nick De Luca, Carlo Festuccia (both retired).

Verdict

A part from bringing in Watson and Harris for cover for Beale, Wasps not doing as much movement as their rivals is a smart move and with the incredible backline players, they have this could be another brilliant season ahead.

The pain of losing the Premiership final last season will be the fuel they’ll need to make this season cap off their perfect rags to riches story.
