After becoming a MASSIVE box office smash hit grossing over $950 million, Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle is now out to enjoy watching with the whole family in the comfort of your own home.
When four high-schoolers discover an old video game they get sucked into the world of Jumanji and turn into their avatars in the form of Johnson, Hart, Gillian and Black. They quickly learn they have to complete the game or otherwise they get stuck inside forever or even worst.

I had little expectations when I saw this film back in December but left pleasantly surprised and rewatching it for the Blu-Ray review and liked even more now.
Johnson is brilliant playing a nervous, shy, nerdy teenage boy despite looking like The Rock and you can see a lot of his performance has similarities and elements of Big. Meanwhile, his chemistry with Hart is superb, continuing from their pairing in Central Intelligence.
Elsewhere, Hart is basically playing himself and this is not an issue whatsoever. Then you have Gillian who is just an utter badass and hot as hell but also plays the shyness as similarly great as Johnson.

Finally, Black is the MVP of the film and steals it. Who knew he has this gift of playing a confident 16-year-old Instagram obsessed teenage girl. Black is at his best when he’s in these family films.

Meanwhile, as someone who loves watching bonus features on Blu-ray’s and DVD’s, Sony has done a great job with what they’ve added, including:
Gag Reel
“Jumanji, Jumanji” Music Video by Jack Black and Nick Jonas
Five Featurettes –
Journey Through The Jungle – The Making of Jumanji
Meet the Players – A Heroic Cast
Attack of the Rhinos!
Surviving the Jungle – Spectacular Stunts!

Verdict
Just as superb as watching it the first time, Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle is a brilliant family film.
