Chris Hemsworth Is Growing A Handlebar Moustache To Play Hulk Hogan

Look out, Brother! The Real American is going to be played by an Australian as Chris Hemsworth is set to play wrestling iconic in a biopic set to be released by Netflix.

The Hollywood Reporter broke the story and revealed The Hangover and upcoming Joker movie filmmaker Todd Phillips is set to direct with Scott Silver, who worked with Phillips penning the upcoming film based on the DC Comics character, and will co-write the script with Stronger screenwriter John Pollono.

This project got even more exciting as Michael Sugar is attached to produce and he was behind the Oscar-winning Spotlight and this is one of the best films I’ve ever seen. Additionally, WWE have nothing to do with the film so they could tell a truer story.

Meanwhile, the Thor and Marvel star is the perfect choice to play the role and will look damn convincing.

However, things begin to look less Social Network and more Bohemian Rhapsody as we also learnt Eric Bischoff will is also attached as a producer and Terry Gene Bollea (Hulk Hogan) is be consulting on the movie as well as executive producer.

You then think about the history of the Hulkster because there’s been a lot from the behind the curtain wrestling politics, steroid abuse, the court case against Vince McMahon as well as all the other shit that’s happened in the recent years.

Instead, the film will focus on what’s being described as an “origin story” of Hulkamania.

To wrestling fans, I think they would’ve wanted a true biopic instead of this which will be used as a way to get Hogan back in the spotlight and in the good graces of people.

I would’ve been more excited if there was no involvement from Bischoff and Bollea had a minimal contribution by speaking to Hemsworth and Phillips for a couple of hours and not having to worry about him some creative say on the film.
