Young Han Solo Close To Being Casted

Last week it was revealed Chewbacca will be appearing in the Han Solo movie and now it looks like directors Chris Miller and Phil Lord have found their leading man.

The Hollywood Reporter have exclusively reported the three young actors all took tests, whether or not they were costume or screening tests, in London last weekend.

The names involved include Alden Ehrenreich, who stole the screen in Hail, Caesar!; Jack Reynor, who’s best known for Transformers: Age of Extinction, and Taron Egerton, the breakout star of the surprise blockbuster Kingsman: The Secret Service and upcoming Eddie The Eagle.

However, they’re not the only names in the frame as Variey’s Justin Kroll took to Twitter to clarify.

THR reported back in Decemeber that Disney cast the net wide to find the right young actor to fit Harrison Ford’s leather jacket. But if you’re missing your Ford fix then not to worry as he’ll be appearing in the fifth movie set for release in 2019.

As for the three names involved all of them could be Solo, Ehrenreich is set to become a big star after his performance in Hail, Caesar! And as for Reynor, I wouldn’t judge him being in Transformers as he’s brilliant in a brief role as Malcolm in Macbeth and I’m hearing great things about his performance in Sing Street.

My favourite choice is Egerton; I really loved him in Kingsman and in his smaller role in Legend starring next to Tom Hardy.

The Han Solo movie will be scheduled to hit cinemas Friday 25th May 2018.
