We’re under two months away from Suicide Squad hitting cinemas and this means all Warner Bros/DC’s focus will be to promote the living crap out of David Ayer’s supervillain team up.
Let’s begin with the Suicide Squad taking over San Diego
Comic Con with Warner Bros hosting an exclusive Hall H presentation and
autograph signing.
In the press release WB revealed every day the San Diego Hard
Rock Hotel will be transformed into Belle Reve, the prison all the villains are
locked up. They’ll also be a live-action virtual reality experience where you’ll
fight alongside Squad members in a scene from the film, and fans can visit
Harley Quinn’s tattoo parlour and get some fresh ink.

The Squad will then go to American talk show Conan to tape a
special Saturday edition.
Warner Bros are also inviting fans to compete in DC All
Access’s Suicide Squad Cosplay Contest. All you need to do is take a photo of
yourself dressed as one of the following Squad members: Rick Flagg, Captain
Boomerang, Deashot, Slipknot, Killer Croc, The Joker, Katana, Enchantress, El
Diablo, Amanda Waller and of course Harley Quinn. Then share the photo on the DC Comic website, Twitter or Instargam.

Eleven lucky winners will get an all expenses paid four day
trip to comic con where they’ll take part in a range of Suicide Squad activities
throughout the weekend. Click here to get more details.
With Comic Con taking place two week’s before the August 5th
release date, I also wouldn’t be surprised if Warner Bros do a special screening
for the fans on the same night.
Elsewhere, the film as been given an PG-13 rating in America
so I’m pretty positive the BBFC (British Board of Film Classification) will
give this film a 12A rating.
Warner Bros have also been releasing numerous TV spots,
which shows some more humour and sense this film will be dark but injected with
a lot of fun. Check them out below.
Other DC Film News
A couple of weeks ago when the Batman v Superman: Dawn of
Justice Ultimate Edition trailer was released, the film’s cinematographer Larry
Fong posted a brutally honest tweet.
Those of you who are fans, will dig it. If you hated it, you'll still hate it.— Larry Fong (@larryfong) 2 June 2016
Well, it looks like someone got a massive bollocking as Fong
did a 180 last week to this.
Watched the #UltimateEdition again; now believe EVERYONE will LOVE it. Pre-order TODAY! #BatmanvSuperman #WBHomeEnt https://t.co/bRVQbTZLzi— Larry Fong (@larryfong) 10 June 2016
It’s odd to see the change of tone, but maybe it was as big of a telling off as his original tweet is still there and maybe that first tweet was sarcasm? I’m stretching I know, but it is odd. Either way I only had a few issues with the film and I think this Ultimate Edition will sort some of that out.
Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice Ultimate Edition comes
out on DVD/Blu Ray in the UK on August 1st and digitally July 18th.
Finally, get ready for a ripped Jim Gordon as images of J.K Simmons were posted online and t’s impressive and who the hell needs Batman in Gotham if Gordon looks like this! We’ll see Simmons as the police detective in Justice League.
Just one more thing, Warner Bros games unveiled the sequel to the highly popular 2013 Injustice: Gods Among Us which led to a highly popular comic book series. Check out the awesome trailer below.
Are you excited to see Suicide Squad or are you worried due to Batman v Superman? Will you be getting the Ultimate Edition? And what do you think of J.K Simmons looking so ripped and jacked? Comment Below or tweet me @Shaun_Wren.
