Since a child, I’ve been a fan of Scooby-Doo and now as a full grown up I’ve become a fan of the LEGO movies mainly because of The LEGO movie was awesome and The LEGO Batman Movie looks brilliant. Putting LEGO and Scooby-Doo together is my big child’s dream.
The pilot is really simple; the Scooby gang try to rescue an old movie studio, which is not only threatened by developers but a series of movie monsters too.
At the end of the day, the story is really simple and nothing special, this is a kid’s film that adults can enjoy and let’s be honest you’re not going to watch this film for dramatic storytelling.
This is solid straight to DVD Scooby film, this is something to watch on a weekend with the family or with your little ones. You’ll get a lot of fun out of it especially when it comes to their hair which I found stupid yet funny at the same time.
The little digs at the Hollywood system were also smartly used.

Verdict
An easy going, enjoyable watch for adults and the kids on a lazy weekend.
